Snorkelling
Snorkelling is a fun and adventurous way to discover the underwater world. During the lessons, you will learn how to snorkel in a safe and responsible manner and you can earn snorkelling certificates.
The snorkel lessons are intended for children up to 13 years old who have at least swimming certificates A and B. During the lessons, you will learn, among other things, how to enter the water correctly, how to retrieve objects from the bottom and how to put on swimming goggles underwater. In addition, you will also learn how to use a snorkel and how to breathe correctly. It is important to know how to breathe properly underwater, so that you can snorkel safely and comfortably.
Discover the underwater world
At the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool, you can take your swimming test for snorkel certificates 1, 2 and 3. Each certificate is slightly more challenging than the previous one. After obtaining certificate 1, you are proficient in snorkelling with a snorkel set and can, for example, dive in a safe manner. Certificates 2 and 3 are slightly more advanced and require more skills, such as snorkelling with a buddy, swimming through a hoop and doing a somersault.
