At Alkmaar Sport N.V. in North Holland, we strive to get as many people in the region as possible participating in sport, because it is fun, sociable and healthy. Our goal is to remove barriers and increase sporting opportunities by responding to the needs and demands of the community. We believe in the power of sport to offer social and economic added value and strive for a clean, safe and inspiring sporting environment.

As a collaborative partner, we are the point of contact and the natural resource for sport in the region. With a helicopter view, we know what is happening and what matters in the local area, making us a reliable partner that delivers quality. Our clients include various enthusiastic athletes, local authorities, sports clubs, educational institutions, social organisations and businesses who hire us as consultants and implementers.
Our field of work in sport is broad
We manage and operate sports facilities, including the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool, and provide various secondary services in several municipalities. We advise municipalities and associations on new construction and renovation, the layout and use of sports areas, as well as the construction, management and maintenance of facilities and pitches.
Alkmaar Sport supports sports clubs in various areas, such as their organisation, social role, talent development, facilities, finances, and the recruitment of members and staff. We understand that sports clubs are facing an increasing number of challenges and demands. Therefore, we are ready to assist them, both by directly responding to the needs of members, volunteers and trainers, and by staying informed of all relevant regulations, laws and social activities.
Our experienced sports coordinators develop sports programmes and coordinate the implementation of sports activities, projects and events. We do this in collaboration with qualified subject teachers and trainers, and we work closely with clubs. On behalf of local authorities, schools and other organisations, we offer tailor-made sports provision.
