Max Delissen sets Alkmaar in motion
Max Delissen is the swimming ambassador for Alkmaar. With over 30 years of passion for swimming, he is dedicated to getting as many people as possible enthusiastic about the water. His goal is clear: to encourage children and adults to learn to swim, to keep swimming, and to maintain a love for the sport.
Swimming is fun, healthy and important. Not only for pleasure and sport, but also for swimming safety. In Alkmaar and the region, swimming therefore plays an important role. As a swimming ambassador, Max is happy to contribute to this.
What does Max do as a swimming ambassador?
Max is a familiar face in the swimming sector and connects people, organisations and ideas. In his role as swimming ambassador, he works on promoting and strengthening swimming in Alkmaar and the surrounding area.
- Supervision by Swim is cool: Max presents the programme Swimming is cool. This programme has been specially developed for primary school children in the region and helps children to after Swimming certificate scheme develop further in the water. In a fun and educational way, they get acquainted with various aspects of swimming. This way, children stay active, safe and keep moving with pleasure.
- Promoting swimming in the region: Max wants to get as many people as possible excited about swimming. Young and old should be given the opportunity to stay active in the water in their own way. That is why he is committed to a wide range of swimming activities and lessons in the region.
- Bringing parties together: As swimming ambassador, Max works together with various organisations, such as swimming club DAW, the KNZB, Alkmaar municipality and companies like Variopool B.V. By connecting parties with one another, he contributes to the growth of swimming sports and to greater attention for swimming safety.
- Information and advice: Do you have any questions about swimming, aquatics or school programmes? Max is happy to help brainstorm and provides information and advice to children, parents, schools and other interested parties.
