Terms and conditions for swimming lessons

At the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool in Alkmaar, we offer lesson subscriptions for obtaining the Swimming certificate scheme. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we have set out a number of terms and conditions. Below you will find an overview of these terms:

1. You are purchasing a package of which the price is indexed annually.
2. Should your child obtain the certificate before all lessons have been taken, you are not entitled to a refund for the value of the remaining lessons.
3. Without a valid lesson card, you cannot participate in the swimming lesson.
4. During school holidays and public holidays determined by Alkmaar Sport N.V., there are no swimming lessons, and these days are therefore not included in the lesson card.
5. If your child wants to take part in multiple swimming groups, you need to purchase multiple subscriptions. It is possible to put multiple subscriptions on a single pass.
6. Do you want to transfer your child to a different swimming group? Then you can let the lesson coordinator know in writing or by phone.
7. The fee is based on attending 8 lessons over a period of 8 weeks.
8. Payment must be made per period according to the rate applicable at that time.
9. The new period pass starts on the day after the end date of your previous period pass. This means that the period pass also continues during holidays.
10. If you do not renew your lesson subscription on time, the right to participate in the swimming lessons will lapse.
11. If your child has been absent 6 times within one year, you must buy an extra lesson card. This also applies to every 4 missed lessons thereafter.
12. A maximum of 1 accompanying person is permitted per child for children's swimming lessons. In this case, you must scan the pass twice at the card reader by the entrance. Failing to bring the pass may result in refusal of entry and misuse may lead to confiscation of the pass.
13. Refund of tuition fees is only possible in the event of a relocation of 40 kilometres or further, calculated from the swimming lesson location.
