At swimming pool Hoornse Vaart in Alkmaar, we make learning to swim a celebration! With our Waterfestijn swimming lessons, we offer the ideal start for children who their Swimming certificates A, B and C want to collect. Alkmaar Sport provides swimming lessons six days a week, ensuring there is always a convenient time to start.
What is Waterfestijn?
The Waterfestijn lessons are specially designed as a first step towards swimming certificates. During these playful and safe lessons, your child is made water-safe. This means they become familiar with the water and learn to move around without fear. Through play, children learn important basic skills that prepare them for the next step: the Level A swimming lessons. The Waterfestijn lessons are held on multiple days a week, allowing you the flexibility to choose what best fits your schedule.

Other costs
- Registering online costs €7.50. Registering at the ticket office costs €15.
- When a child starts ABC swimming lessons, he or she always starts with Waterfestijn lessons first. These lessons cost £7.45 per lesson.
- As soon as the children have their first lesson, they will receive a SportPass at the reception desk which will allow them to enter. The swimming lesson subscription will be stated on the SportPass. There is a one-off fee of €6 for this pass.
