The outdoor pool at the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool in Alkmaar is a wonderful place to enjoy the summer. The beach with sun loungers, hammocks and parasols offers the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the sun. For the children, there is even a patch of sand where they can build their sandcastles. And that is not all! Every Sunday there is free entertainment by the outdoor pool. From water games to an inner tube race down the slide, there is plenty to experience for young and old alike. And if the weather lets you down for a day, the programme is simply moved indoors. This way you can always enjoy all the activities we have to offer in this magnificent complex.
Superspeed slide
And let's not forget the slide! For the true daredevils, there is a super-fast slide that guarantees an adrenaline rush and plenty of fun. You are always very welcome on the play area, sunbathing lawn and beach. Even when the outdoor pool is closed, you can still enjoy the sun on the beach or on the grass. For the energetic ones, we have a panna cage for playing football and a net for a game of volleyball. There is something for everyone at the Hoornse Vaart outdoor pool!
