Hoornse Vaart swimming pool and Outdoorpark Alkmaar proudly present a brand new activity specially for secondary school pupils and vocational education students: the Outdoor Triathlon! Look no further, because we have put together the perfect programme to push your athletic boundaries and provide an unforgettable experience.
The perfect sports day
For teachers looking for the perfect sports day for their pupils, together with Outdoorpark Alkmaar we offer a fully organised Outdoor Triathlon at the Hoornse Vaart sports complex. In the space of approximately 3 hours, multiple classes can start this challenging activity in different time slots. We adapt to the wishes of the school and invite teachers and organisers to discuss the possibilities at our location. Together we create the ideal sports day with the Triathlon as the focal point.
Various parts
The Outdoor Triathlon consists of various components, including an obstacle run with more than 20 different obstacles on land and water, running with distances varying from 1 to 5 kilometres, and swimming with distances from 100 to 500 metres, depending on the participants' preference. The order of the components can be determined in consultation and classes can start in different time slots during the 3 hours. It is of course also possible to have a wonderful hospitality package to be credited.
Tips for the ideal period
Ideal times to book include May (a nice trip just before the May half-term) and the autumn half-term (late September and October). Other months are, of course, negotiable. We gladly invite interested parties to discuss all the options in advance. Should the Outdoor Triathlon not quite fit, other activities for schools are also available at Outdoorpark Alkmaar. Practical information
- Pricethe cost is €10 per person for 60 participants and €8 per person for 120 participants. Please note: swimming pool lane hire is not included. The cost for lane hire is €13.13 per hour per lane (the number of lanes depends on the number of pupils).
