Due to the annual swimming tests and emergency response (BHV) and first aid (EHBO) training, the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool will be closed on Monday 17 August. We will reopen on Tuesday 18 August according to our normal opening hours.

From Monday 6 July up to and including Sunday 16 August, we will have adjusted opening hours for the pools and group classes during the summer holidays. We wish you a pleasant visit to the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool in advance!

- An adventurous obstacle course is set up in the 50-metre pool every afternoon.

Extra swimming lessons in the summer holidays
On various days during the summer holidays, children can take part in the ‘extra swimming lessons’ in Hoornse Vaart swimming pool. On these days, lessons will be offered for the following levels: Waterfestijn, orange/pool 2, blue/pool 3 and green/pool 4. Everyone (including children who do not take swimming lessons at Alkmaar Sport) is very welcome to take part in the extra swimming lessons.
Crash course in swimming certificates B and C
During the summer holidays we are organising a crash course for the B and C swimming certificates. In swimming pool Het Baafje in Heiloo Is it possible to get the B certificate within 3 days and the C certificate within 5 days? However, we do not provide a guarantee that the certificate will be obtained. Of course, we will do everything we can to make this happen.
