That is why Alkmaar Sport offers with<strong> <\/strong>Swim is cool offers a versatile swimming programme for primary schools. Pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2) are introduced in an active and surprising way to everything that movement in and around the water has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A versatile swimming programme for schools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because having a swimming certificate in your pocket is great, but that's only where it starts. How do you save yourself or someone else in the water? What do you do if you get caught in a current in the sea? What does it feel like to play water polo? And how many different ways are there actually to move around in a swimming pool?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WaterWijs met school!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool in Alkmaar, children discover it for themselves. No traditional swimming lessons, but challenging activities where fun, swimming ability, water safety and physical exercise come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Five water themes. Five times different<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swim is cool consists of five different water themes. Schools can choose one or more themes and thus put together their own programme. <em>Our advice?<\/em> Try them all! Each theme challenges children in a different way to move, learn and have fun in the water. Together, the five themes form a versatile swimming programme focusing on both fun and skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Even better:<\/em> come back every school year for a new theme. This way, pupils continually gain new experiences and skills, and during their primary school years they can get acquainted with the full breadth of Swim is cool. Children move differently, try new things and develop skills that contribute to their self-confidence and swimming ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Swim is cool, Alkmaar Sport aims to keep children enthusiastic about swimming and moving in the water. From learning rescue skills to aquatic sports, and from water safety to free movement, each theme offers a different experience. An exception is made for the XL Recreational Swimming theme, but only when supervised by someone aged 18 or older.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Together we ensure a safe visit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During Swim is cool, the school and the Hoornse Vaart swimming pool work together to provide a fun and safe activity. The school remains responsible for the pupils and for supervising the group. We therefore ask teachers and supervisors to remain actively involved during the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alkmaar Sport provides a safe and hygienic swimming environment, expert supervision and equipment suited to the activities.
